what I do
I review grant applications. Allow me to use my knowledge and skills as a grant writer and reviewer to provide you feedback concerning key factors that funding sources use in determining whether or not to fund your project. Many excellent programs go unfunded because the proposal fails to adequately answer questions that are important to the funding decision.
No doubt you have done a great job in preparing your proposal, however, you will benefit from an objective review by a skilled reviewer prior to submitting it to the funding source. I will identify both strengths and weaknesses of your proposal. Most funding sources utilize a committee of individuals who have an expertise in a particular program area to review their grant proposals. These individuals are given the task of 'scoring' each grant based on its viability and structure. I have served as a 'scorer' on many occasions which gives me an 'insider's' knowledge about what funding sources consider to be important in this review process. Why not obtain a 'leg up' on your competitors by getting this feedback prior to submitting your grant proposal?
Before submitting your proposal, an outside professional reviewer should be retained to dramatically increase your chances of getting funded.
my specialty
While my review specialty is in criminal justice, law enforcement, and community development grants, most grants, albeit different program interest, are generally similar in preparation and content. My experience in the grant review process includes a diverse portfolio: non-profits, municipal, county, and regional governmental entities (See About Me).
